OUR HISTORY
Saltwater Reef Co. was founded from a lifelong passion for marine life, reef aquariums, and aquatic system design. What began as a personal hobby and fascination with coral reefs gradually evolved into a professional aquarium company focused on creating healthy, stable, and visually exceptional aquatic environments.
Over the years, we expanded from maintaining small reef systems to designing and servicing custom aquariums for homes, offices, restaurants, and commercial spaces throughout the North Shore and Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our experience with advanced filtration systems, coral care, livestock quarantine, and long-term aquarium stability allowed us to build a reputation for quality, reliability, and attention to detail.
Today, Saltwater Reef Co. combines professional aquarium installation, maintenance, livestock sourcing, quarantine procedures, water testing, and reef system management under one roof. Our showroom and reef lab continue to grow as we work with hobbyists, collectors, families, and businesses who share our passion for the underwater world.
